about

The Improv Poetry Orchestra is modeled after an event curated by composer Elisabeth Blair. Spontaneous poetry, stories, or streams of thought are projected from a laptop so that a group of improvising musicians can view and react to the words in real time.

OME is a non-profit organization born out of a love for new music and a desire to create community connection through musically engaging experiences, fostering a new music community with less barriers between audience, performer, and composer. Also facilitating musically engaging experiences through the OME Marathon, Epic Maker Instrument Challenges, Musical Maps, and other projects, creating opportunities for Phoenix Metro musicians, teaching artists, and composers.
